We help you understand how to think through requirements and ask the right questions—especially for families navigating public or charter options. We have experience with private, charter, and independently.

The Homeschool Professor is grounded in both professional expertise and real-life homeschooling experience. Our coaching is led by an education professor and credentialed teacher who homeschooled her own children for nearly a decade and has mentored homeschool families for more than 15 years—alongside a Marriage and Family Therapist who brings insight into motivation, emotional regulation, boundaries, and family dynamics. Together, we support both sides of homeschooling: the learning and the living. We don’t offer rigid systems, fear-based messaging, or one-size-fits-all answers. Instead, we help you understand what’s actually happening in your homeschool—academically and relationally—so you can make decisions with clarity, confidence, and care. This isn’t about doing homeschooling “right.” It’s about building a homeschool that works for your child, your family, and this season of life.

Though we are people of faith, The Homeschool Professor is values-aware, not prescriptive. Families from many backgrounds benefit from our coaching. We help you clarify your values and make decisions aligned with them—whatever those may be. We provide lots of great advice on everything related to your home + school.
