I’m Jacki — an educator, homeschool coach, and longtime guide for families who want to teach their children well while also protecting their relationships, their home life, and themselves.

I am so excited you are homeschooling and I applaud you. Even as a credential public school educator, I am telling you that I believe this is the best decision you can make for your family and I want it to be so rewarding. No one knows your kids better and no one loves them more. I homeschooled my three children for nearly a decade and have spent more than 25 years mentoring homeschool parents at every stage of the journey — from those just beginning to seasoned homeschoolers navigating new academic demands, changing dynamics, or shifting goals. I’m a credentialed teacher, school administrator, and a university professor in a College of Education, but I also understand what homeschooling looks like inside a real home, with children of different personalities, learning differences, interests, and needs.I do not believe there is any single “right” way to homeschool.

Homeschooling is personal, relational, and constantly evolving. Our work meets families exactly where they are — whether you’re just starting out, adjusting after years of experience, or simply ready for more clarity and confidence in this season.

Alongside me is my husband, a Marriage and Family Therapist, who brings deep expertise in relationships, family dynamics, communication, boundaries, and emotional regulation. Together, we support both sides of homeschooling: the learning and the living. We help parents make educational decisions that fit their children and their home — without judgment, fear-based pressure, or one-size-fits-all systems. We help parents make educational decisions that fit their children and their home — without judgment, fear-based pressure, or one-size-fits-all systems.

Support for both the home and the school — because homeschooling is both.

Hi, I'm Dee. I worked for many years as a Marriage and Family Therapist with a wide variety of individuals, teens, and families helping them navigate everything from simple daily life issues to significant crises. Learning alongside families and supporting them to improve their relationships was a rich and rewarding experience. When taking on the exciting project of homeschooling families face a variety of new challenges. New and continuing homeschooling parents are taking back the responsibility of education and socialization from public and outside schools. We at The Homeschool Professor think that is a good thing. You are raising children into adults who will thrive and create strong homes and families of their own.
